Cabinet Doors and Drawer Fronts

Traditional cabinet doors are crafted using precise joinery techniques to ensure durability and style. The construction involves stiles and rails joined with mortise and tenon or groove joints to frame a center panel. The center panel can feature various styles, such as recessed, raised, or beaded designs, to suit different aesthetics.

Sticking options allow for further customization of the door’s appearance:

  • High-profile moulding: Adds a classic, detailed edge to the frame, enhancing traditional styles.
  • Low-profile moulding: Introduces subtle edge details for a softer, transitional look.
  • Modern sticking: Includes double steps or shaker-style edges for a clean, contemporary finish.

These options combine craftsmanship and design flexibility, making traditional cabinet doors adaptable to a wide range of interiors.

Tongue and Groove Joints

Tongue and groove joints are a traditional and highly effective method of joining pieces of wood. This technique is known for its strength, durability, and ability to create a seamless appearance.

Construction: The tongue is typically cut along the edge of one piece of wood, while the groove is cut into the edge of the adjacent piece. When the two pieces are joined, the tongue fits tightly into the groove, creating a strong, stable connection.
